The best ramen in Chennai, according to the city's finest foodies

Look no further if you're looking for the greatest ramen in Chennai. We invited food experts and local foodies to nominate their favourite restaurants in the city.

Best ramen in Chennai

Dahlia, Nungambakkam :
There are no frills—one goes there for the food's simplicity and authenticity. It is a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant and one of the city's oldest Japanese restaurants. The ramen and tantanmen they offer come in large portions that may seem intimidating at first, but you'll soon realise that they go down quickly and easily. You should try the ramen at Dahlia, a restaurant established by a Japanese guy and an Indian lady. Their product line is fairly diverse. It's good to taste a foreign cuisine that is authentic to its origins right here in Chennai. That is what distinguishes it from other eateries in the city.
Pumpkin Tales, Alwarpet :
has steadily become the city's favourite eatery. Their meal is consistently delicious, and the Asian flavours are explosive. This restaurant deserves particular mention since they create excellent vegan food, including tantanmen ramen. They achieve the perfect combination of yellow noodles, vegetable broth, sesame paste, miso, and soy milk without sacrificing the dish's originality. It nearly makes a meat eater like me want to sample their vegetarian and vegan fare.
Kuuraku, Vadapalani :
is a traditional Japanese restaurant, and one of their hallmark dishes is the Kuuraku ramen. This is one of the greatest I've had in the city, with chashu pork, a runny cooked egg, and a really flavorful broth.
