According to the WhatsApp changelog on the Apple App Store, picture-in-picture mode for WhatsApp video calls on iOS is still in the works. WhatsApp has recently added a number of new features to the platform, including split view for Android tablets, a call link tool for Windows, the option to organize group conversations, and more.
