The Indian equity indices opened higher tracking Asian markets.
BSE Sensex stood at 51,505.69 higher 145.27 points, while CNX Nifty is trading at 15,334.30 up 40.80 points.
The gainers on Sensex and Nifty were Sun Pharma, HDCF and HUL gained 2%.
The losers on Sensex and Nifty were ONGC, which plunged 5%. Shares of Coal India were 4% lower, while Tata Steel also slipped 3%.
