The Indian equity indices ended 1.4% lower led by Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports shares.

Finally, BSE Sensex closed at 59,330.90, lower 874.16 points, while CNX Nifty ended at 17,604.35, down 287.60 points.

The gainers on Sensex and Nifty were Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto, which surge 6%. The losers on Sensex and Nifty were Adani Enterprises, which was lower by 18%. Adani Ports was also lower by 15%.
