FIFA World Cup Final: The stage is prepared for Argentina and France to face off in the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Sunday (December 18), with Lionel Messi vs. Kylian Mbappe battling for the spotlight.

Messi vs Mabppe the Battle of the Ages
As things stand, Messi and Mbappe are not only involved in a battle for the Golden Boot for most goals, but they are also strong competitors for the Golden Ball. They've been working hard for their nation, which is one of the reasons they'll be in the final on Sunday.

Mbappe has been outstanding in the competition, scoring five goals, the same as his PSG teammate Messi. However, it is the assist that maintains Messi ahead of the Frenchman, as he has three assists in six games. More significantly, regardless of what happens on Sunday, Messi will go down in history. He will break Lothar Matthäus' record of 26 FIFA World Cup appearances, and another outstanding performance will cement his position as the best of all time.

Mbappe on the flip side has also been the bright light once more for France who have been limited with many injuries before and throughout the World Cup. Mbappe has two assists to Messi's three, and his overall play has been excellent, contributing to vital goals at various stages during the World Cup.
